Show us your Life

So Kelly is hosting her Show us your life again of homes this week is master bedrooms. Thou I still have some work with accessorizing and need to put some pictures on the walk.

From our bedroom door

We have a massive bed but I love it

Looking from my side of the bed across the room.

From our bathroom door

My dresser, Hubs gets the drawers in the media chest, but right now all that is in his is our cats toys that we do not want to play with at 2 in the morning.

Day 22

A website

Well I do not just go to one website a day so here is a list of some of my favorites

Google/reader- I love it, I did not know about it till a few months ago when where I worked had just about everything blocked. So instead of working harder I could load all my blogs onto the reader and go to that one page.

www.thepioneerwoman.com - I got to meet her at her Houston book signing and would love to live in the pantry of the ranch!

www.kellyskornerblog.com - She has a very cute little girl that is about to be a big sister! Kelly is truly inspirational for those dealing with infertility. She is a very neat lady and so down to earth.

Facebook- Geesh this is my crack. I wish it was not but I am hooked!

I look at all of these sites every day and there are so many more but they are now linked thru Reader.

Day 21

A recipe

Mexican Cornbread Casserole

ground beef
Taco Seasoning
can corn
Can of Rotel
1/3 block of Velveeta
Jiffy Cornbread
1 egg
water

Brown ground beef and drain. Mix in taco seasoning per directions. In a Pyrex dish open and drain can of corn and rotel undrained. Cut Velveeta into cubes and spread out in dish. Layer hamburger meat. Mix up cornbread mix and egg with water as directed. Spread mix on top of everything in the dish. Bake according to directions on Jiffy box.

This is something easy and we love it when we want something Mexican and I don't feel like making enchiladas.

Day 20

A Hobby of mine

With everything going on the last few months I have not gotten to do too many hobbies. However I do love to paint and craft. It kinda goes with my "talent" I don't have pictures on my camera or computer of some of the crafts I have done for friends and showers.

I also love to read. If I get on a reading kick I can read 3 books in a week. I read the Potluck Club and Match me if you can in the pass week since I went to the library.

Day 18

Your Wedding

So both me and Hubs have been married before and we are not the big fancy shin-dig kinda people. Before we got engaged (thou hub had the ring) I dreamed we got married on the Fourth Of July. So it was done, if I dreamed it it was for a reason so that is when we were to get married.

I had a built in color scheme and food was simple to plan- BBQ. I wanted to get married somewhere that I could enjoy it and have those that are closest to us involved. Well thou it was a very chaotic weekend we rented a house on the river and decorated it and had a weekend celebration.

My dad draggin me down the stairs cause my heel got stuck!

Fourth of July in Texas- Hubs was sweatin bullets ;)

Day 17

So day 17 is -An Art piece

So if you know anything about me you know I my favorite Disney movie. I am not a big Disney fan that believes in all the fairy tales and happily ever after. I LURVE Peter Pan. I love the idea of a magical place that you never have to grow up. I have a Tinkerbell tattoo on my shoulder that I knew I wanted it for 3 years before I got it. I do not regret it to this day. In fact I want to get to ole girl a "facelift" after 12 years of having it.

On my Honeymoon Hubs and I got several Thomas Kinkade prints. He had begun his Disney Dozen and we were interested to see if he would do a Peter Pan one. Imagine our delight when once back from our honeymoon we stopped in a Kinkade boutique and there was Tinkerbell and Peter Pan takes Flight to Neverland

Shut. the. front. door.

Every character is depicted and has so many details.

Here is some "scoop" on the picture:
Interesting Facts:
1. Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland is the third release in Thomas Kinkade’s Disney Dreams Collection.

2. Thom has placed a total of 25 N’s in Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland as tribute to his love for his wife Nanette, as well as in celebration for his 25 years as a published artist.

3. The clock tells the time of 8:02 — in the movie when Peter and the Darlings land on Big Ben, it is 8:04 — but Thom took artistic liberty and changed it in celebration of the year he and Nanette married: 1982.

4. Thom has incorporated many hidden Mickeys in Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland, including a Mickey balloon seller in the city. Can you find them all?

5. Take a look at the upper left of Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland and you will see Neverland, complete with an Indian encampment, Captain Hook’s pirate ship, the Mermaid lagoon and more!

6. Thom has created another Disney Dreams Collection narrative panorama — going beyond a single scene and telling the whole story through his inspiration from the original Disney sketches that the 1953 movie was based on.

7. The sailboat on the horizon is a tribute to Walt Disney himself. Walt loved being on boats – and Thom imagines that Walt is on this ship, sailing off on new adventures beyond Neverland!

8. The clouds represent the transition from the clearly detailed city of London below to the gossamer world of childhood dreams and fantasy — and Neverland — above. Where “time is never planned!”

9. Remember in the story that as the children return to London they look back to find the sailing ship “disappearing” in the clouds? What and who else are hiding in the clouds in Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland? Can you find Captain Hook, Smee, and the Lost Boys? Do you hear the Crocodile ticking?

10. There’s also a tribute to the two previous Disney Dreams Collection “stars”! Can you find Snow White and Pinocchio?

I absolutely love it and we got a print for a GREAT deal a couple weeks ago and I can not wait to get it framed and hung outside of the "nursery room" in our house.

I suck

So I planned to do my day 11- a recent picture of yourself, With one of the new babes my besties have had when we visited this weekend. But I failed at taking pictures or remembering to post so here is day 11-16...

Day 11 a photo of you recently

At my besties baby shower trying to rub some baby magic out. ( I Heard it worked for the other girl that did ;)

Day 12 -Something you are OCD about-
Planning and decorating. If I have a plan I may not be able to verbalize what it is that I want put I have a picture in my mind of what will happen so don't try to change my mind. I know some people are trying to help with suggestions but really I don't want them when I am in "that mode".

Day 13-A fictional Book
I just went and got me a library card for our library here in New Braunfels. I have to say I have not been to a public library in quite some time but our library is NICE. I just got done reading The Potluck Club by Linda Shepherd and Eva Everson.

Cute book that is a series that plan to check out more of.

Day 14-A nonfiction Book
The Bible. I am excited that we are finally getting settled into our house and will begin looking for a church home to "grow up" in with our family.

Day 15- Your Dream House
I do have to say I got very lucky in getting to plan a lot in the building in our house. Thou who would not want a mansion. I love houses that have big porches and large kitchens.

Theses are some inspiration pictures I want to do in our house-

Like the dark wood and the light bedding and walls for the master

This is my nursery inspiration, I will have a Peter Pan mural on the walls

Day 16- A song that makes you cry
Ok this one I cry every single time I hear it. It reminds me of my relationship with my father. It is not that he is not loving it is just that he is very reserve with his feelings. I remember when my grandfather died and there was someone that knew his when he was younger and knew what his position in the military was and my mom was studded that what she knew was not the truth My dad had known for years and just never said anything. My Granddad was the same way that we almost learned more about him in death than in life. I hate it but that is the way it has gone. So this Reba McEntire song "speaks" to me about my dad and I tear up everytime I hear it cause I think of our relationship.

I will have Day 17 up later which I am excited about because we recently purchased it ;)
