I am sharing all the details and am pretty graphic. This is for my own memory later so just know you have been warned ;)

Monday night March 19th I went in for my induction due to having high blood pressure. As a back story I am not a fan of "social inductions" inductions cause you are tired of being pregnant, cause you want to pick the birth day etc. I was very disappointed to have to be inducted as I wanted to have a natural childbirth and was very vocal about still wanting as natural as possible. I wanted Sarah safe first and for most but I did not want to push things to fast adding drugs that could cause me to have to have a c-section.
Oh lordy! 38weeks6days as we checked into the hospital

We got there at 8 pm and got settled and hooked up to the monitors and they checked me and I was 3cm and 60% effaced. The nurse said my cervix was lower than she would have guessed and said everything is there for a successful induction in her opinion. @ 9:30pm they inserted the cervadil and I laid there still till 11:30. At 11 the nurse brought me an Ambien so I could sleep and get some rest before the next morning and be rested. Little did we know how the next several hours would go.

At 1:30am I woke and needed to go to the bathroom a normal routine in the middle of the night, but I could barely get up and P had to help me to the bathroom cause I had the shakes so bad. We thought I was having an allergic reaction to either the Cervadil or Ambien my tongue felt swollen and I kept biting it while trying to talk to him and the nurse. I got back in bed and back to sleep till just before 3am.

P was sleeping so I called the nurse to help me to the bathroom which woke P up. I was trying to be nice and let him sleep but I think he was on edge. I got up to go to the bathroom and could tell I was going to get sick so I asked for a barf bag (I had been getting sick @ 3am several times a week for the last 2 weeks from heart burn so we were not surprised) I filled up 2 bags and had diarrhea- sorry for the TMI but it does not get better from here. I got back in bed after cleaning up and while the nurse was rehooking up my monitors I asked her if she was a betting woman, when did she think that I would deliver and she thought before lunch probly before 10am. She left the room and me and P turned off the lights and tried to settle into sleep.

Not 2 minutes later I felt a pop high in my stomach and told P I thought my water broke. He said huh and then he could hear the pop and the gush. I called the nurse back in and she came and checked and sure enough my water broke so the took the cervidal out and I was 4 cm. The nurse also said that the sac of fluid was still on her head. I had P call our Doula -she had offered to come earlier but I told her there was no point to her coming and watching me sleep.
The nurse hooked up my IV since I was GBS+ and very quickly my contractions got pretty intense.

It was not what they told us in class of you feel it starting and then peak and rolling back down. I felt it go down and right back at the peak every 2 mins. My doula, Amy got the right at 3:45 cause of a storm and my Dr had called and said for them to put a catheter in and I did not want one and no one could tell me why the Dr ordered it. So I asked to go to the bathroom again and P and Amy helped me in there where I begain having contraction one on top of the other the only relief I could get was to roll my hips like I was hula hooping on the toliet. At this point I had no clue how far along I was and thou I wanted to not have any painkillers I told them if it gets much worst I am going to have to have something to take the edge off. I was thinking I would have hours left to go.
We got me back to the bed and they told me my Dr was on the way in and that she wanted to check the tapes on baby to see if I needed the catheter. My Dr got there at 4:02 and she checked me and really calmly said I was complete!

Everyone in the room started to run around. I asked to go to the bathroom again and they told it was the pressure of the baby. I told them um no I really have to go everyone said that is the baby but it is ok just go. When I did go whatever was left of the sac and in my bowels went every where it felt like and I started grunting which all the nurses and Amy said the baby is coming. They put oxygen on me and everyone was running around frantic to get the table set up with the tools since no one knew I was already to go. I laid there and grunted and started pushing with every contraction and after a couple my Dr got at the end of me and said I needed to grab behind my knees and push that she was crowning.

With 3 pushes her head was out which I was ready to take a break but P was telling me to push cause my Dr was pulling her head and he was afraid it would come off, and 2 more the rest of her. The most surreal feeling in the world!! they set her on me while I delivered the afterbirth and I did have a 2nd degree tear so I needed to get stitched up. The storms Monday night where in full force and while my Dr. was stitching me up the lights went out several times. I joked that I am sure she is good and can do this with her eyes closed could she wait for the lights to come back on to not have to prove how good she is. Then there was some confusion as to how many supplies they brought in the room so they had to check me and order an X-ray. Just goes to show how fast everything happened.
An hour old

She was born at 4:13am after an hour and 13 mins from my water breaking. Apparently it is called a precipitous delivery and is not that common for 1st time mothers.
Thou not the natural birth I thought I would have to fight for with an induction I could not ask for a better delivery. Sarah Bethany was 6lbs. 15oz, 19 inches long and we think she is pretty much perfection. We had to stay an extra day since I did not get a full course of penicillin for the GBS but everything checked out fine she had a mild case of jaunidice but did not need any light treatment thank goodness.
Well I promised the nursery and I am actually delivering. This nursery was something that lived in my mind for years before I even met P. Thankfully he went along! I love the Disney Peter Pan. I even have a tinkerbell tattoo on my shoulder so I knew I wanted to do a peter pan themed nursery with murals on the walls. I knew I wanted it to start in london with a night skyline and big ben clock and go around to a daytime neverland with all the characters. Well I will let the pictures show how it came out.....

As you can see the gang is all there. I also made the bedding. P refinished the dresser that was mine as a kid that I got from my grampa.

The Tick Tick in the crib has a funny story. My Grampa had gotten me one years ago and my ex destroyed it just to be a jerk. I knew I wanted one for my future nursery for years. My mom knew this and we both kept an eye out for one. Last year I found one on Ebay and told my mom. I told her she should get it for me and she said it was too much for a used stuffed animal and we did not know if it was clean etc etc. Well it sold during this conversation back and forth via chat and I went to looking for one again. Little did I know my mom bought it. She told everyone at work about it and had it shipped to her office. Went it came in everyone wanted to see it as they hear the story. When she opened the box it was not Tick Tock but Homer Simpson face! The seller in Louisiana mixed up the boxes. Tick Tock was sent to a couple in California that was going to a Halloween party in Canada and the wife had just thrown the box in the back of her SUV and drove up to Canada! So needless to say this crock is well traveled!

I love the nursery and think Ms. Sarah is liking it too. Next I will start the birth story which is very interesting!

So I promised some up dates and so lets start at the beginning shall we

In late May early June last year I did a cycle of just Clomid and really quick we realized that it alone would not be effective in getting me pregnant in a timely manner. The fact of being 31 yrs old the RE wanted to be more aggressive. I was all for it as I wanted a baby and my "failed" due date was fast approaching and I had a very heavy heart over this.

Once I got a cycle again in June we begin a Clomid/Ovidrel/IUI cycle. Basically I took meds everyday and when my folicales were ready I gave myself a shot and 2 days later was in the doctor office to try to "impregnant" me. That day was July 6th. I then had to wait 14 days before going back for bloodwork to confirm whether it worked or did not work.

Well lets just say I was impatient and I was testing every day. The reason they want you to wait so long is the shot can cause false positives if it is still in your system. Well I just tested every day and I knew when the shot was out of my system.

On July 19th I got this

We are having a baby!!!

So now to wait for bloodwork. Which came back high and doubled correctly in the 48 hr period!!!

Now because of my past I did not want to tell anyone. We waited till I was 12-14 weeks to tell anyone. At this point my mom was very suspicious cause she knew we were doing fertility treatment. I tried blowing her off telling her that each cycle was a bust that the cysts were too large or my hormones were not right. Which was not far off, the RE nearly cancelled the cycle we conceived on because of that. I had a choice if I wanted to sit the cycle out and go on BC to try to shrink the cyst or do blood work and depending on my levels of estrogen either go ahead or if it was too high still sit it out and got on BC. So glad I chose bloodwork!

This was very hard not sharing with anyone. We ordered wedding albums that I had promised everyone for 2 years and the last page had an ultrasound picture with our due date. Our happy ever after if you will.

We gave those to our parents in late Sept early October. Like I said we waited forever to tell family and longer for me to tell work.

Frist trimester was spent with weekly appointments and ultrasounds since I was high risk. We love getting to see our little love grow.

I was not really sick until Week 13-17 and zofran became my best friend.

At 18 weeks we had our anatomy scan and found out we were having a GIRL!!!! We did a fun gender revel party that evening with church friends with a cake with strawberry filling.

In November I felt like I finally "popped" I was no longer just fat looking but pregnant

Well little miss stayed put but it did not get much easier. At 37 weeks I started having issues with my blood pressure. I spent a Sunday afternoon in L&D after getting headaches and seeing spots ( after blaming work and old contacts for those side effects) and was told no more work that I needed to be on bedrest as we could control it with me laying down but even sitting up it shot up.

At my 38 week appointment after doing a 24 hr collection we ruled out pre-eclampsia for the time being but my BP was no better so we decided to let Sarah cook another week and induce me at 39 weeks. I still had to go in for non stress test between and check for protein. But my instructions were to check into the hospital Monday March 19th at 8pm to begin the induction process. That hopefully some time Tuesday March 20th Sarah would be born!!! I will save that story for another day Next up I will share the nursery that was in the planning for 5 years.

But this disappearing was for working on the well being of me and my husband. June has been all about getting answers and working on healing.

Since my last post I began seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist. Before going to see a specialist was admitting defeat on our part. Or so it felt. When we would discuss how long would we try before getting help we never wanted to do it because we were impatient. I knew the risk of taking drugs for fertility and I was not ready for those risk.

However something I was not considering was that there was something wrong with me. Something that explained 98% of my problems with my whole body. For many years I have asked doctors about different problems and been told everything from it is nothing to there is nothing that can be done or that it was in my head. I hated doctors! It was all about insurance and claims and you are just a number on a paycheck.

When I made the appointment I was at a all time low. I just knew I needed some sort of answers and if the RE told me there was nothing wrong or it was in my head he could have seriously been hurt by my wrath that day.

P knew at this point for the most part how bad things had been for me so he told off work and came with me. The RE had my medical file and pretty much had a diagnose for me when we walked in. He asked how I was emotionally and said yes there is most likely something wrong with me. PCOS. Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome. Which I had self diagnosed when my cholesterol came back high and being diabetic and my GP told me just to lost weight and exercise and come back in 6 months.

After spending an hour in the RE office we had a for sure diagnose with 3 out of 3 diagnose options all coming back positive- irregular cycles, cyst in ovaries that looks like a pearl necklace, and blood work. I also had 18 out of 20 side effects that normally get misdiagnosed. Finally some answers!! I happen to be there early enough in a cycle to begin the full testing process. That day I had 15 vials of blood draw, an ultrasound (over 40 cyst between my two ovaries) began clomid for a resistance test with instructions to come back in 6 days for and HSG, 2 hour glucose test and another ultrasound and more blood work.

In the last month I have had some highs and lows. I lash out at my husband and co-workers more than I mean to. I am an emotional ball of hormones and am taking even more hormones to regulate out my body. I have also had to change the way I eat: no white bread, pasta, white rice, potatoes, or corn, little dairy or refined sugars. PCOS makes to much testosterone and basically causes an insulin resistance. When I eat "unhealthy for me" things it causes cyst and weight gain and mood swings from my blood sugars. I can eat low calories and low fat all I want but there are certain things my body can not handle.

Is all of this hard? YES! But if this means I am healthier and get to have a take home baby I will make the changes. It does not mean it will be easy or that I will not have my bad days. One thing I did not realize, the not having any answers to my infertility did, was cause alot of depression and self doubt in everything I do. The littlest things can set me off to have a bad day. I am learning to control it more but the hormones can come from outta left field some days.

So all in all we have a plan and are moving on with fertility treatments. I know many women have done it with success but there are still that many women that are still waiting for their take home baby. My doctors feel confident that with one treatment or the other I will be able to get pregnant.

I know I have been a horrible blogger and thou there is not excuse I swear I have a good one.

We are going to have to go back a bit for you to understand. There is going to be some TMI and this is your disclosure on that. This also is going to be a very long post with no pictures, so thank you in advance if you make it to the end.

I started this blog as a way to document going from a newly married couple to the joys of owning a home and starting a family.

On October 28th, 2010 I found out I was pregnant.

As like most couples we had not discuss our plans of having children with anyone because they are that OUR plans. We did not want people asking how it was going giving "encouraging pep talks". This was something private in our lives we had been dealing with since our wedding. We knew we wanted to have children ASAP as we have both been married and not getting any younger. There was many things we had to get straighten out with insurance and relocating to Austin and New Braunfels but we took the "well we will just see what God gives us".

By July of 2010 (a year after being married and no bebe) I began charting and told P that I was wanting to see if we can make sure I am ovulating and all that good stuff. He was on board so then began the morning temperatures, ovulation predictor strips and reading up on things to help encourage pregnancy. August I charted all month and saw a clear ovulation and that there could be some issues because I Oed really late and have a short Lunar Phase. For those that do not know what a LP is, it is the time from Ovulation till your period begins again. "Normal" LP is 12-14 days, mine was 8 days. Why this is bad is that you do not implant a pregnancy till somewhere between 7-10DPO (days past ovulation). By this point my uterus was already shedding. I called my OB/GYN and they basically told me don't worry. With some research I found out that B6 has been proven to lengthen LP. So I began taking it.

September I charted everything went along smoothly and in October I got the ask on a pee stick most women want "Pregnant". I had a due date of July 4th, 2012 (yes had) I called and made an appt of Nov 18th which I would be just past 8 weeks and we would be able to see the heartbeat and know everything was fine. I told my closest friend and youngest sister. I knew I would need some support. My friend has been thru it all and my youngest sister does not know enough about fertility problems to say the wrong thing.

I knew for months that I wanted to surprise P with a willow tree figurine of a man holding a baby, because he refuses to hold babies till he has his own. I went to the florist and got one came home from work and wrapped it before he got home and waited.

After much prodding he finally opened it. I didn't get the response I expected cause he was in shock. He went into planner mode. I was a week out from my sister’s wedding that I had many duties and roles and we knew I was not going to be able to do everything that I normally would be able. We planned to tell my parents prior to the wedding just to give a heads up. But before telling my parents P wanted to tell his first because they have been waiting for 15 years to hear of them getting a grandchild. Thou I did not really want to tell anyone til 12 weeks it got out there fast. The next day P told his work because July is a busy time of year and he would need off for the birth. He told his parent that weekend, an old HS friend also pregnant at church, people at a Halloween party, etc.

I began to get over this fear I had had for years of telling too soon. I had a miss M/C years and years before and never been pregnant since. I was not like many of friend to have a accident from not being safe. Prior to getting pregnant this time I had told P my wishes to not tell cause I know there are high odds of MC early on. The more people that found out once my initial “why did you tell them freak out” was over the more ok I became with people knowing.

So the following week we loaded up and drove to Houston for my sister’s wedding. P, my mom and myself ran errands and in Sam's Club my mom saw many cute baby things and said she needed grandchildren to spoil cause the stuff was too cute not to buy. P and I exchanged knowing glances of that we were telling her and my dad that night.

We had dinner at a great seafood restaurant and I order a steak salad and my mother thought I was crazy for not getting fresh seafood like everyone else. Minutes later I gave them gifts that had oneies with cute gramma & grampa sayings and it was on! They were very excited and my dad does not get excited about much! My mother was ready to call everyone. I had a twinge to tell her no don't tell everyone but I let it go. By 9 am the next day everyone in my family knew. It was not my intent to over shadow my sister's wedding but that of I cannot lift the 50 lbs tubs of stuff and I was in the tired stage.

The next day was the wedding day and very hectic and I could tell I was over doing it. Help my sister swore would be there to set up showed up an hour late. They messed up the groom cake in transport and I had to fix it. I was the wedding planner, decorator, makeup artist, hair stylist and bridesmaid. It was a looooong day.

The day after the wedding we headed home cause P had tickets for the Nascar race in Fort Worth and would be leaving in the middle of the night to go. I spent Sunday getting the house cleaned up, grocery shopping and running errands. The whole day I felt off. I felt like something was wrong. I called my OB/GYN and was told don't worry it is normal for first time mothers to think everything is wrong. Just to get some rest.

Monday things got worst and I was still told just to rest. Tuesday was a little better.

Weds. there was no denying I need immediate medical assistance. My OB/GYN office was closed. I had to call another office to see me and the fit me in 30 mins later. At this point I just knew I had lost the baby. We got the office and they had me that a pregnancy test and it was still positive. The doctor saw me and said my cervix was still closed so everything was still inside me. A few mins. later we saw what was supposed to be the sac was not nice and egg like with something in the middle and blank space around it but a deflated sac for lack of better description. My body was trying to expel it. I had not miscarried yet but I would in the next 24-48 hours. There was nothing I can do to stop it or that I could have done to prevent it.

Going home to sit and face a death sentence is horrible. Normally I am the one to fix the situation when people are broken but I could not put my pieces back together. All I could think of was I have to go take our white bedding off the bed, put dark sheets on and just stay there till the end of time. But I spend Weds feeling sorry for myself and I worked Thursday without any pain thinking maybe the doc was wrong. Friday morning everything happened while I was by myself at 6:30 am. Blood work two hours later proved I was no longer pregnant. P was at work and I text him to which he replied "Oh well we can try again". I know he meant well but it did not sit well with me.

My mother had her own "encouraging " words of well at least you know you can get pregnant, It just was not meant to be this time, I know so and so and they M/C too. I know she meant well also but again not helping. My friends that knew did not understand it cause they have never dealt with it. They all took home their babies.

I told P and my mother that they had to untell every since person that was told. I was not going to have this open for discussion and give answers for things that I would never get answers to. What was supposed to be my 8 wk appt turned into a consult that left me with no answers of the way I was feeling and to wait 3 months.

So I told you I would give you some answers as to why I have not Blogged since Dec. Obviously that has been since the M/C. Well to be brutally honest I have had severe depression since. I threw myself into planning the perfect X-mas and entertaining everyone for the holidays and trying to BE NORMAL when I was feeling far from it. The more I pushed and acted normal the less I felt like me.

For those still with me you get a cookie. As well as a cliff hanger. I have made some changes but I still have a long way to go. I am still not pregnant. I have dealt with horrible physicians that gave me no answers and am still on the best place. But I am moving forward. I have admired may a bloggers that have shared their stories and be too afraid to tell me dark secrets of what I am dealing with. Next I will tell you what is going on with us now.
So I took a week hiatus cause I was busy finishing all our Decorations of the house for Christmas. Starting this week we get in to madness of house guest and holiday parties so I wanted to be ready. I have been working on our wreaths and am very excited cause I have made 3 for this year! I know I am nuts with all the decorations but I just love decorating for this time of year.

So this one I actually made after Christmas last year. It is the ornament wreath you have seen everywhere that you just string ornaments on a wire hanger. I would suggest using shatterproof ornaments which I did not. This hangs on a wall since I did not want it to break on the front door with the wind.

This year I made a Coffee filter wreath like every other blogger out there. I lurve it and I made mine a little different cause I used a different wreath form for it.

Then I needed a wreath for my kitchen. My Kitchen tree has candy, and gingerbread cookies, and cookie cutter type ornaments and so I wanted something to go with it. I saw this wreath on Be Different, Act Normal and there was not credit to how originally made it. But it was a CUTE mashmellow and candy wreath.

So I winged it.

Just start gluing the marshmellows on. I have wanted one of these lamps since I very first saw "A Christmas Story" . I loved it.

"It's a major award!"

Well looking around for ones of these they are expensive, IE 200-300 bucks! Too rich for my blood for a lamp I will put up for a month. So I got to looking I could make one. First stop Ebay, I found a "stocking leg" that was 28" tall for $9.99 with shipping it was $18.99. After a week I was the proud owner of a leg. Next was time to do some shopping.

First I stopped at Hobby Lobby for a base and black fringe. For the base I got an unfinished wood piece from the area near the build your own clocks. Regular price it was $2.99 but was 40% off. The fringe they sell by the yard and I got 2 yards and used all but about 6 inches. Also on sale for 30% off off $3.99 a yard.

I got the heels at goodwill for 99 cents. Just an FYI the leg wears a 6-6 1/2 and needs a 4 inch heel. Please do not make my mistake and get a 5 1/2 and have to nail the shoe on while acting like she is Cinderella's ugly sister cramming her foot in the heel.

Next was Wal-mart for a 3/4 inch dowel, a pair of thigh highs, a light kit and a lampshade. You may be about to get the lamp shade at Goodwill or other thrift stores for cheaper but mine did not have one and I was in a hurry to get her made.

You will also need heavy gauge wire and paint or stain. Tools you will need a 4 inch screw and a drill with bits and a saw.

Supplies in hand I begin. First I took the base out to the garage and stained it. You can paint it also but I had stain already.

Next I came back in to hot glue the fringe on the lampshade.

Next I failed to take pictures of but I took the leg to the garage and I cut the "sole" of her foot out. This is so you can thread the lamp kit thru the leg.

Next you will need to drill a quarter inch hole thru the bottom of the heel for the lamp cord to come out. It is easier to do this now and thread the cord thru before attached to the light.

After giving enough room for you to be able to plug the lamp in you run the lamp cord thru the leg and put the lamp kit together per the instructions. It is very easy to do.

Now the next thing I did was drill a small hole through the now stained base for a 4 inch screw to go through.

Based on the size of the screw you are using you will need to drill through the high heel at the "sole" close to the arch of shoe. You also will need to drill a pilot hole thru one end of the dowel for the screw to come into.

Once you have all your holes drilled now you can begin to assemble.

When you put the stocking on the leg you will have extra at the foot. I just tacked mine to the "arch" area of the foot so it was out of the way.

I glued my stocking around the "sole" cut out and then cut a hole in the stocking so I was not tearing it up with screw.

Now I placed the dowel in the leg with the pilot hole side down. You will screw thru the base, the shoe and the leg to the dowel till the screw will not tighten anymore. at this point it should be about to stand on its own.

All you have left is to drill 4 small holes for the heavy gauge wire to go thru the top of the leg

Now I know this does not look pretty but it does the job and it is all covered by the lamp shade. If you have a better way go ahead I just wanted to be done and put it up! This is what it looks like from the inside.

Now all that is left is attach the lamp shade and stand back and admire!!!!

All in all it cost me around $45 to make and that was only that high cause I could not fine a cheap lampshade at the thrift store. I think that is a pretty good knock off and way better than spending $250 on it don'tcha think?

Chelsea and Roots and Rings is still as her Ten on Tuesdays and todays edition asks about the holidays.
1. What are your plans for the holidays? Do you travel at Thanksgiving? If you celebrate Christmas, do you travel then, too?

Normally there is alot of traveling for us at the holidays but this year everyone is coming to us. We are hosting the IL's on thanksgiving, the IL's Christmas dinner the Sunday before Christmas and my family is coming to stay for Christmas and my MIL and FIL will come for dinner.

2. How do you make the plans for the holiday? If you have a significant other, how do you decide which family to visit?

I am lucky that my husband and his family are easy going. His mother does not expect much for Thanksgiving get togethers and years ago decided that instead of having her sons drive all over the world on Christmas to do their Christmas early.

3. Do you have your Thanksgiving meal at lunch or later in the day?

Normally @ 2 so that you can graze all day on food. Appetizers come out @ 12 and the bird around 2.

4. Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
Eating is my favorite Thanksgiving tradition. <----I agree Chelsea!

5. After a big meal do you lounge around or get up and take a walk?
I circle the food table numerous times. Does that count as a walk?

6. Do you shop on “Black Friday” or do you avoid it?
Yes I normally get 90% of my shopping do this day. I have gotten great deals on big things to like my washer and dryer last year and a plasma TV 6 years ago.

7. When do you usually finish your Christmas shopping?
Early -Mid December. I like to see everything wrapped under the tree for a bit before it all goes out.

8. Do you and your significant other exchange gifts? Is there a budget?
To a degree, we tell each other was we want and I like to wrap stuff but Hubs like to give it right away even if it is in the beginning of November. This year we are not doing much for each other cause it has been the year of giving with a new house, all new furniture, etc.

9. When do you decorate for the holidays?
We started last weekend only cause we are nuts and have alot of stuff to put up.

10. Do you go “all out” with the decor or do you keep it simple?
All out. When we built the house we had plugs put in the soffets with a light switch at the front door, and extra amps just for Christmas lights. Yes we are those people. We have over 6000 light outside, 21 characters from Rudolph the red nose reindeer cut out and painted front and back from wood we made, 5 Christmas trees outside, 5 inside, 3 wreaths, and countless other thing I have put out. I also am waiting on a "fra-gile" shipment to finish out our decor. This is our favorite time of the year.
Let's talk Christmas cards. There is a lot of ways to do them. You can buy a box at and sign and mail them. You can order some from a kiosk at that has a couple of options and minimal customization to them and be done with it.

I however am a control freak. Enter Shutterfly. First off they are offering bloggers 50 FREE cards for blogging about them so that was a no brainer on my part. They have so many options for Christmas cards it is not even funny! I have used Shutterfly for a long time now. I created my wedding sign in book from my engagement photos with one of these. I also made a poster collage that now hangs in my hall way to my bedroom.

These are so far my favorite and it is going to be tough to decide on just one or even two to use!
In case you did not notice I am a traditionalist and like the red and green and it must say Merry Christmas. I am all for the holiday season but I do not say Happy Holidays on my cards! You can check out your favorites here. There are hundreds of them to choose from and plenty of different colors and sayings.
I am also loving the Wall Canvases they offer. I have been wanting one of these for a while so now is time to go thru all my wedding photos from last year and find my favorite.
I am not a big Disney fan that believes in all the fairy tales and happily ever after. I LURVE Peter Pan. I love the idea of a magical place that you never have to grow up. I have a Tinkerbell tattoo on my shoulder that I knew I wanted it for 3 years before I got it. I do not regret it to this day. In fact I want to get to ole girl a "facelift" after 12 years of having it.

On my Honeymoon Hubs and I got several Thomas Kinkade prints. He had begun his Disney Dozen and we were interested to see if he would do a Peter Pan one. Imagine our delight when once back from our honeymoon we stopped in a Kinkade boutique and there was Tinkerbell and Peter Pan takes Flight to Neverland

Source

Shut. the. front. door.

Every character is depicted and has so many details.

Here is some "scoop" on the picture:

Interesting Facts:
1. Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland is the third release in Thomas Kinkade’s Disney Dreams Collection.

2. Thom has placed a total of 25 N’s in Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland as tribute to his love for his wife Nanette, as well as in celebration for his 25 years as a published artist.

3. The clock tells the time of 8:02 — in the movie when Peter and the Darlings land on Big Ben, it is 8:04 — but Thom took artistic liberty and changed it in celebration of the year he and Nanette married: 1982.

4. Thom has incorporated many hidden Mickeys in Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland, including a Mickey balloon seller in the city. Can you find them all?

5. Take a look at the upper left of Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland and you will see Neverland, complete with an Indian encampment, Captain Hook’s pirate ship, the Mermaid lagoon and more!

6. Thom has created another Disney Dreams Collection narrative panorama — going beyond a single scene and telling the whole story through his inspiration from the original Disney sketches that the 1953 movie was based on.

7. The sailboat on the horizon is a tribute to Walt Disney himself. Walt loved being on boats – and Thom imagines that Walt is on this ship, sailing off on new adventures beyond Neverland!

8. The clouds represent the transition from the clearly detailed city of London below to the gossamer world of childhood dreams and fantasy — and Neverland — above. Where “time is never planned!”

9. Remember in the story that as the children return to London they look back to find the sailing ship “disappearing” in the clouds? What and who else are hiding in the clouds in Tinker Bell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland? Can you find Captain Hook, Smee, and the Lost Boys? Do you hear the Crocodile ticking?

10. ( I Heard it worked for the other girl that did ;)

Day 12 -Something you are OCD about-
Planning and decorating. If I have a plan I may not be able to verbalize what it is that I want put I have a picture in my mind of what will happen so don't try to change my mind. I know some people are trying to help with suggestions but really I don't want them when I am in "that mode".

Day 13-A fictional Book
I just went and got me a library card for our library here in New Braunfels. I have to say I have not been to a public library in quite some time but our library is NICE. I just got done reading The Potluck Club by Linda Shepherd and Eva Everson.

Cute book that is a series that plan to check out more of.

Day 14-A nonfiction Book
The Bible. I am excited that we are finally getting settled into our house and will begin looking for a church home to "grow up" in with our family.

Day 15- Your Dream House
I do have to say I got very lucky in getting to plan a lot in the building in our house. Thou who would not want a mansion. I love houses that have big porches and large kitchens.

Theses are some inspiration pictures I want to do in our house-

Like the dark wood and the light bedding and walls for the master

This is my nursery inspiration, I will have a Peter Pan mural on the walls

Day 16- A song that makes you cry
Ok this one I cry every single time I hear it. It reminds me of my relationship with my father. It is not that he is not loving it is just that he is very reserve with his feelings. I remember when my grandfather died and there was someone that knew his when he was younger and knew what his position in the military was and my mom was studded that what she knew was not the truth My dad had known for years and just never said anything. My Granddad was the same way that we almost learned more about him in death than in life. I hate it but that is the way it has gone. So this Reba McEntire song "speaks" to me about my dad and I tear up everytime I hear it cause I think of our relationship.

I will have Day 17 up later which I am excited about because we recently purchased it ;)
Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16408054231562846601noreply@blogger.com0
